Researchers gain insight into the molecular evolution of RNA, particularly how RNA may have interacted with chemicals during early life. These insights can deepen scientists’ understanding of the ‘RNA World’ hypothesis and unveil potential applications in nanobiotechnology. In a study, published in the open access journal Life, researchers from the Tokyo University of Science investigated the assembly of functional ribozymes. Their objective was to test the hypothesis that ribozymes during early
