Fair Catch Kick… In the NFHS RULE BOOK there is a strange rule, that I personally had never seen. By rule, a team that makes a fair catch on a punt is allowed to attempt a “free” kick from the spot of the fair catch on the next play. The free kick must be either a place kick or a drop kick. If the kick goes between the uprights, they get three points!
