LPG Shortage LIVE Updates: Amid energy security concerns stemming from the war in the Middle East, the Centre has launched measures to expand the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network in the country.
The latest escalation saw Israeli strikes on Iran’s South Pars gas field, followed by Iran targeting Qatar’s Ras Laffan Industrial City, the world’s largest LNG hub.
Iran’s IRGC Navy turned back the Pakistan-bound vessel SELEN in the Strait of Hormuz for lacking permission and violating protocols, asserting maritime sovereignty and mandatory coordination for transit.
The government said that gas distribution companies have introduced several offers to encourage new PNG connections.
